What Is In It For Me? (Melanie)

When it comes to technological things...I'm really not educated enough to go off on a long rant.
I do know..that I was really really good at Ms. Pac-man, Pac-man and Kaboom from the days of Atari. I loved it. I will still kick butt on any of those three games.
The years of progression have frightened me. There was Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation 1 2 and 3. It all gets confusing to me.
Then..they came out with Nintendo wii. Wow right? Nope. I fought this in my household for awhile. My hubby wanted it as soon as it hit the stores. Well, after he accrued some bday money this past July he bought it. He had enough of my protest.
There was a condition though. How would this wii benefit me? Could I play it? Would I be able to learn all the games?
Well, then wii fit was introduced. Enough said. Yoga on a video game? Aerobics in my own house on a video game? I could do lunges and leg lifts via a video game in my pajamas in my OWN house? I can box a person who isn't near me by punching the air in front of me with my slippers on?
Bingo!
Sign me up.
So, my hubby bought me wii fit for my bday this past week.
I am 100 percent addicted. I can't stop. I actually had the computer tell me.."You should take 15 minute breaks and replenish by drinking lots of water."
We had family and friends over this weekend and turned wii fit on and was up until 1 in the morning playing the wii fit balancing games. Amazing.
I'm sold.
I'm not into the Madden 2009 or Tiger 2009 or the wii tennis or sports games...but, give me wii fit and I'm happy.

Hard At Work As Bubba Heals (Melanie)

Well, Bubba is still out with polyp surgery on his throat.
He is now on vacation too, so another 2 weeks of rest for him and he should be all better when the three of us return August 18th.

He seems to be doing well. We have had a great number of guest hosts fill in for him and all of them so far have been just great.
His wife Tracy was SO fun. TODD from the Village Idiots has done a great job with his Test Dummy Tuesday stunts AND filling in for him. County Executive Dan Onorato was a blast. Shane Tallant from HGTV's Designed To Sell was a true comic. We had Sally Wiggin and Janelle Hall from WTAE on and both were pure sweetness. The rest of the guests this week will be Mike Clark and Sally Wiggin from WTAE and Jen Miele from WTAE. Intern Pita and Beaker are holding their own and doing well too.

We miss Bubba, and the show is NOT the same without him, but it has been refreshing and fun with the guests. They all have done so well.

Here are a few pictures of us hard at work. You will notice Buck, me, Beaker, Shane Tallant and my cousin Lisa visiting from Michigan in the majority of the pics!

Enjoy! Have a GREAT week!
