Just Some "Stuff"

I'm still coming down off of my PIZZA high from B94's Best Pizza In Pittsburgh contest from June 19th. If you haven't checked out the video, make sure you visit our homepage and see it right there! Pens Victory to the MAX!

     If its one thing Pittsburgh knows its how to embrace a team.  After a Hockey season with ups, downs and changes the Pens captain Sidney Crosby held that Stanley Cup high over his head Friday night.  I wasn't in Detroit but I imagine even through the distasteful and ignorant boos from the defeated Red Wing fans you could still hear the exuberant cries of victory from our Champion saturated city across Lake Erie.   (65% from the South Side)

     There is something exciting in the process of a challenge but to me its not nearly as fun as celebrating the win!  Pittsburgh has celebration running through its veins and it doesn't take long for us fans to show it.  My local diner (Kelly O’s) at 6am was already serving the Mad Max Burrito while people rushed into Dicks Sporting Goods for a hot –of -the press Stanley cup Champions t- shirt.

     Some may call the worlds greatest city Athletically Spoiled but I'm just fine with Champions.  See you at the Parade.

Pens Road Rally Live on B94

June 12, 2009 - Pittsburgh - (WBZW) B94 and Qdoba Mexican grill will be holding a Pens Road Rally Friday morning from 6am – 10am at the Qdoba at 4860 McKnight Road in the North Hills(click for directions) as pens fans get ready for game 7. Tomorrow morning Qdoba and B94 will be giving out free Coach Bylsma Burritos to every Pens fan that shows up to their McKnight road location and the B94 live radio broadcast. “By now everyone knows that Pens coach Dan Bylsma eats a BBQ Pork Burrito from Qdoba before every home game, and his record has been quite impressive”, states Bubba of the B94 Morning Show Buckhead and Bubba.
There will also be a Red Wings dunk tank provided by Splash Party Rental filled with the dreaded Red Wings Octopus provided by Wholey’s in the Strip!  Pens fans will be able to dunk a Red Wing into water filled with their slimy eight legged buddies.
The B94 morning show with Buckhead and Bubba will be broadcasting live from 6am – 10am for the Pens Game 7 Road Rally!

If your by the TV tonight be sure to turn on My Pittsburgh TV at 7p for a 30 minute special of PMZ!  We will be dishing the goods on all the gossip around the Burgh.         Also don't forget Monday morning we continue to register your favorite Pizza shops for the Best Pizza in Pittsburgh!  Be sure to tell your local favorite pizza shop to enter or then they just cant be the best! It's ANOTHER Hockey Night In Pittsburgh!

Okay..so, the Wings won last evening. It doesn't matter. We will give them a win in Detroit. Sunday night is a different story. Get ready at 8pm for the game. Although, I must admit, I'll be flipping back and forth to watch Andy Samberg on MTV host the awards show! SHHHHH! All this week on Buckhead and Bubba in the Morning we will be taking YOUR calls for your pizza shops. The annual "Best Pizza In Pittsburgh" contest starts back up this week. So, for the next few weeks we will be registering your pizza shops. The big competition goes down on Friday, June 19th LIVE at the B94 studios! Get your favorite and most popular pizza recipes ready. We will have our judges lined up and great prizes await! Will the winners of last years contest re-enter? We shall see!!

Another Week Of Fun!

Well, the week of May 4th starts another week of fun with Buckhead and Bubba in the Morning on B94. We not only will talk to China Jack for another LIVE toast (I'm sure) for the Pens playoff games, but we will have TUESDAY TOUCH UP day where the guys will get their "pen playoff hair" re-vamped for another week of playoffs. Tuesday is Cinco De Mayo and what I hear is planned is NUTS! All week we will qualify you amazing and deserving MOMS for Mother's Day with our QUEEN OF THE DAY promotion. Listen each day as we take deserving Mom stories for that 50 dollar gift certificate to The Mall At Robinson and a brand new Skagen watch. Well the Pens are in the Playoffs again and this year the Playoff Beard is a thing of the Past.  If Crosby wont do it neither will we.  So we have devised something much cooler “and embarrassing”.
